For a growing number of organisations, energy is no longer a simple cost item. Connections, solar panels, charging points, batteries, CHP units, heat pumps, contracts, metering data and grid capacity constantly interact, while costs, risks and dependencies keep rising. Grid Services turns these separate parts into one controllable energy system. Not by putting a single technology at the centre, but by bringing overview, control and coherence to the whole. Our role is that of energy director: we analyse, design, implement and manage smart energy systems for businesses, real estate, ports, business parks and other energy-intensive environments.
Born from practice
Grid Services emerged in 2022 from the installation world of the Bollenstreek region, where we came into contact early on with complex systems full of solar panels, CHP units, heat pumps and climate control. There we took our first steps in smart grids, not from theory but from the question of how to make installations work together and make optimal use of available capacity. As grid congestion increased, it became clear that more cables or larger connections are not always possible or economically sensible. The challenge shifted to insight, data, control and direction. That is how Grid Services grew along with it: from technical solutions to connecting, managing and optimising the entire energy system.
One working energy system
Many organisations have already invested in sustainable or electric solutions. Yet solar panels, charging stations, batteries and heat pumps do not automatically deliver the desired result together. Without central control, fragmentation arises: charging points cause peaks, generation goes unused, capacity becomes overloaded and costs become untraceable. We bring these parts together in one managed system and connect technology, data, contracts, users and cost structures. This makes energy understandable and controllable again.
